Ida Marchese
Ida Marchese is a dynamic Changemaker promoting equitable access to healthcare and education, focusing on public policy, gender equity, and pedagogy. She has completed research on a global scale and recently served as a Canadian Delegate to the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum. Actively engaged in volunteer organizations in the Greater Toronto Area, she focuses on direct service to youth and newcomers, fostering positive change at the grassroots level.
Collaborating with the University of Toronto and global nonprofit organizations like UNITE 2030, Ida aims to unite young Changemakers, equipping them with the knowledge and community to drive innovative solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Ida currently serves on the Interim Board of Directors for the Women’s Nonprofit Network. She is also the Founder of the nonprofit SCIENSIS, which aims to empower Sisterhood in STEM through storytelling and knowledge sharing and the organization United Youth Roundtable, aimed at creating an equitable platform and community for youth to share their lived experiences and advocate for the support they need while dismantling the existing inequitable and unjust decision-making tables.
Currently, Ida is working on projects related to ending Gender-based Violence and spreading awareness through art and photography, as well as developing the Health Equity Corp with the Nepal Health Corp, building out curriculum and global experiential learning opportunities for medical schools and healthcare practitioners.
